To Transgress mean to Dwell differently?

Film

Exploring a thesis idea using film is a transgressive act in itself. With an explosion of excitement, I gave it a try and surprisingly, I gained a new perspective towards my thesis question:

To transgress mean to dwell differently? 

Through the film, I explored the idea of transgression, dwelling, gathering and the metaphor of time.

In the film, the character explored, engaged and participated with the place before settling down and dwelling in the place.

Through the process, he adapted and immersed into the genius loci. With time and seasonal change, he concretised his surrounding and made himself a shelter. The idea of fire brings people together, and to dwell collectively.

The film also explored the idea of refuge, prospect and reason (the lion) - credit to Uncle Roger's story.

The Container

The container is aspired by Jorn Utzon's paradigm and exploring on the idea of transcultural influence.

The power of fire to gather and the clearing of darkness
